This FITS seminar is three and one-half days long and is presented in Bend, Oregon. The course objective is to transition a pilot into the 350 Corvalis or 400 Corvalis TT aircraft. The training is aimed at VFR and IFR pilots, and will consist of training from basic aircraft operation to G1000 IFR procedures if appropriate. The training consists of fourteen hours of ground training and five to seven hours of flight time during three scenario-based flights. This course is designed to teach a current instructor to present the FITS Transition seminars that are offered by Cessna Pilot Training at each single-engine factory. Upon earning the designation the CFAI will be able to represent Cessna by teaching the transition course in their local area. The three day course agenda has twelve hours of ground training and four to six hours of flight time during three flight scenarios. The content covered consists of course requirements and tools, FITS implementation and scenario development, teaching techniques, best practices and advanced G1000 operation. This transition course is geared for the pilot moving into a three-display version of the avionics suite similar to that installed in the 208 Caravan and Citation Mustang. This training consists of eight hours of ground school in two modules and three to five hours of instruction in an Advance Aviation Training Device (AATD). The course is
18 hours, covering a number of subject areas including highlighting technology in today’s aircraft.
It additionally serves as a FAA approved flight instructor refresher clinic meeting the new course topic requirements of AC61-83F, FAA FIRC approval was gained in May 2009.
