Seeking owners with a wild side

Interior

Inside the soul of motion

Everything about the Skylane interior was scrutinized for ergonomic exactness, from eye reference to reach to head and armrest positioning. Clean, uncluttered modern designs were used. The roomy, bright cabin accommodates three passengers in addition to the pilot in ultimate comfort.

Avionics

Intelligence has never looked so obvious

Smart technology that helps keep you safe

Cessna engineers know that an aircraft is about the pilot and the experience inside the cockpit. It all begins when you slide into the luxurious pilot’s seat. With the Skylane’s all-glass Garmin G1000 avionics suite, you can control your aircraft easily and with confidence. Two high-resolution displays are positioned side by side in the cockpit. The flight deck integrates autopilot functionality with Garmin Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT TM).

Flight control made simple

The Garmin GFC 700 fully integrated flight control system (FCS) comes standard in the Skylane. The FCS provides a standard, three-axis autopilot with precise lateral and vertical guidance and capabilities via airspeed hold, pitch hold, and coupled VNAV features. It’s the kind of technology you would see in the most sophisticated business jets. This FCS is a fully digital, dual-channel system capable of using the data in the avionics suite to offer inherent advantages in safety, redundancy, and reliability. The FCS also optimizes performance over the airspeed envelope, providing precise maneuverability in response to the solid-state, MEMS-based attitude and heading reference system (AHRS) data. The GFC 700 builds pilot confidence and optimizes smoothness and comfort during flight.

Stay on top of the weather

Get optional continuous in-flight access to XM WX Satellite Weather services with a standard GDL 69A data link receiver. XM weather gives you thorough weather coverage with graphical displays of NEXRAD radar images and METARs data, as well as current reports on precipitation, lightning, winds aloft, TAFs, TFRs, and more — for the entire area of your flight path. Weather data is automatically sent to your aircraft via the XM Satellite System and updated continuously to provide you with a near real-time picture. In addition, range rings estimating your range with reserves and maximum range based on current fuel flow and wind conditions are available. When you find yourself flying in clear skies, the XM weather option doubles as entertainment, giving you access to over 170 channels of digital music, news, and other programming through your audio system or headphones.

An excellent balance of performance and handling

Detailed Specifications

Performance data is based on the standard Skylane configuration, operating in International Standard Atmosphere (ISA) conditions with zero wind. Takeoff and landing field lengths are based on a level, hard surface and dry runway.

Actual performance will vary with factors such as environmental conditions, aircraft configuration and operational/ATC procedures.
