Avionics that take you Higher
The Mustang’s front office with Garmin G1000 integrated avionics delivers at-a-glance awareness that is comprehensive and intuitive. The three-screen Garmin G1000 avionics suite significantly decreases pilot workload and stress while consolidating all primary flight, navigation, engine, and sensor data onto large, easy-to-scan flat-panel displays.
This innovative flight deck is standard on our single engine aircraft as well as all Caravan models, which keeps the learning curve low and the transition smooth for all Cessna pilots.
A pilot’s best friend
The Garmin Flight Management System (FMS) is a robust navigation solution for en-route, terminal, and WAAS precision approach. Pilots are equipped with moving map functions including range and pan, flight planning, and automatic reversion via GPS sensors. The FMS will organize flight plans to be readily accessible and
displayed via the moving map. Plain-language identifiers and airport communication and navigation frequency lookup features are also included. Final-approach
fixes for both lateral and vertical modes can be displayed and coupled to the automatic flight control system (AFCS). Pilots have the option of overlaying present
position references with geopolitical and airspace boundaries on any map format. Precision guidance functionality meets the operational requirements of
oceanic/remote, NAT MNPS, RNP10, and RNP5/BRNAV.
Know what’s out there
Clear knowledge of weather conditions ahead of the aircraft is critical to any pilot. The Mustang’s weather-avoidance radar system enhances situational awareness with accurate information to help pilots provide the safest and most comfortable ride for passengers.
The Mustang’s standard avionics suite includes a four-color weather detection sensor with an integrated receiver and transmitter. Powered by the Garmin GWX 68 digital weather-avoidance radar, this technology is controlled through and displayed on the multifunction display. Notable features of the radar include 6,500 watts of nominal transmitter power, a 90-degree scan angle, ±15 degrees tilt, a maximum range of 320 nm, and a minimum range of 2.5 nm.
Standard avionics include:
- Garmin FMS with dual WAAS-enabled GPS for navigation
- Weather-avoidance radar
- Terrain-avoidance warning system
- Traffic information system
- Dual altitude heading reference system
- Dual air data computers
Optional avionics include:
- Jeppesen ChartView
- Garmin Synthetic Vision Technology
- Honeywell’s Traffic Advisory System
- SiriusXM Satellite Radio and Weather
- TCAS II
- CDVR
