    Windshields

    The CJ2+ windshields are surrounded with framing assemblies for structural continuity, are designed to meet bird resistance requirements, and are equipped with anti-ice protection.

    Fuselage

    The CJ2+ offers room for up to eight passengers as well as a total of 65 cubic feet of baggage compartment space for anything from golf bags to skis to presentation materials for that important pitch.

    Wings

    The straight-wing design with natural laminar flow airfoils, large Fowler-type flaps, and speed brakes on both upper and lower wing surfaces help achieve the smooth landings the CJ2+ is famous for. Wing tips include anti-collision and navigation lights.

    In-cabin storage and power

    The spacious cabin interior of the CJ2+ measures 57 inches tall, 58 inches wide, and 13 feet, 7 inches long — plenty of leg room for up to 8-passenger configuration.

    Bring along whatever you need with a generous 65 cubic feet of in-cabin baggage space. Externally accessible storage compartments are also located in the nose and the tail cone.

    A 500-watt inverter supplies 110-volt AC power to three outlets: one in the copilot’s sidewall and two in the cabin next to each executive table.

    Executive club seating

    In its most popular configuration, the CJ2+ provides seating for seven — six seats that track fore, aft, and laterally, four of which recline up to 45 degrees — and the option of a side-facing seat opposite a forward slim-line refreshment center. If operated with a single pilot, the copilot seat can accommodate an additional passenger.

    Cessna engineered the CJ-series flight deck around how pilots actually fly. Meet one of the most advanced avionics suites in the category, the IntrinzicTM flight deck, powered by the Collins Pro Line 21. Behind all of this advanced technology is a simple goal: give pilots the timely, specific information they need to get passengers to their destinations safely and on time.

    Your digital secretary

    The CJ2+’s integrated electronic checklist (IEC) gives pilots the capability to display custom electronic checklists in the MFD. Pilots can control the checklists through the integral cursor control panel, installed in the pedestal. Windows compatible software is included to accommodate customized generation of checklists.

    Pilots often use these checklists as an electronic form of the checklists that are published in the owner’s manual and can be modified to match the equipment configuration of your aircraft. Following delivery, owners and pilots can work with Cessna Service and Support for integrating updates to the IEC database as needed. This functionality can help organize common tasks for the CJ2+ crew to make flying as simple and enjoyable as possible.

    The CJ2+’s terrain awareness warning system (TAWS) is powered by the L-3 Communications LandMark 8000 platform. This state-of-the-art TAWS compares GPS information and altimetry data against internal, worldwide databases of navigation, terrain, and obstacles to predict aircraft position and warn of potential conflicts. It displays terrain contours using multiple color shades, graphical depictions of runways (>2,000 feet), and depictions of any obstacles. Pilots will get five basic alert modes: Forward Looking Terrain Avoidance (FLTA), Premature Descent, Excessive Descent Rate, Negative Climb Rate, and Descending to 500 Feet. Aural advisories are provided through the aircraft audio system and are visually displayed on the PFDs and the MFD. The three main databases can be updated periodically via subscription through L-3 Avionics, using a data port in the avionics bay. Key features of the system include:

    Powerplant

    Producing 2,490 pounds (11.08 kN) of thrust at sea level, the CJ2+ is powered by two Williams FJ44-3A-24 turbofan engines. Even at the maximum takeoff weight with every passenger seat filled, the CJ2+ will still travel more than 1,150 nautical miles (2,130 km). Take on runways as short as 3,360 feet (1,024-m) and use less fuel than other jets in the category. Climb directly to 45,000 feet (13,716 m) in just 28 minutes — eight minutes faster than the original CJ2.


    With the addition of full-authority digital engine controls (FADEC) in every CJ, engine control is simplified, reducing pilot workload during the busiest phases of flight. It also ensures proper power output, engine synchronization, and maximum fuel efficiency.
