The Super Cargomaster EX earns its name with a rugged, flat floor and 3,665 pound max payload capacity with a wide center of gravity range for safer operations. The entire cabin volume, including the cockpit and cabin baggage area, is 427 cubic feet. Cargo doors open to 49 inches by 50 inches for loading large items.

The new Super Cargomaster EX cockpit features an all-glass integrated flight deck, engineered using the smartest, most up-to-date flight control technology available today. The Garmin G1000 integrated suite includes three 10-inch LCD displays, one multifunction display flanked by two primary flight displays. It also features standard equipment such as digital audio controllers, dual digital Air Data Computers, dual tri-axial magnetometers, a digital, integrated autopilot, color weather radar, and more.

Awareness in the air and on the ground

The Super Cargomaster EX’s avionics suite is Garmin SafeTaxi®-capable. With this feature, you can navigate unfamiliar airports with ease. The SafeTaxi technology will show you exactly where your aircraft is on the field and will automatically identify and map runways, taxiways, hangars, and FBOs. Integrated with existing baseman data, SafeTaxi will automatically show the airport information at the map-range setting you select. The details of the information will increase as you get closer to landing. Watch your TaxiWay navigation screen to see your aircraft represented by an icon precisely positioned on the diagram in the navigation screen. The system is updated every 56 days with new data and airports and includes hundreds of airports to start with.

Terrain awareness

The Garmin TAWS (Terrain Awareness and Warning System) is an optional feature to increase situational awareness and enhance safety by helping reduce the risk of controlled flight into terrain (CFIT). With this option, you will both see and hear alerts from the system when your aircraft comes within a certain altitude threshold from any terrain or obstacles. This Class B–certified awareness system will give you a valuable extra margin of safety when you’re in the air.

Powerplant

The Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-140 turboprop engine is flat-rated to 867 shaft horsepower at 1,900 rpm. Engine operation is monitored by the engine indication system, which shows numeric readouts of critical engine fuel and electrical indications for torque, propeller speed, fuel flow, and others. A wet-type standby-engine torque gauge is also installed.
