Accelerated engineering
The
pilot of the Grand Caravan EX will love its state-of-the-art command center
powered by the all-glass Garmin G1000 avionics suite. With technology adapted
specifically for Cessna, available synthetic vision technology (SVT) integrates
all primary flight, engine, and sensor data. This intuitive, at-a-glance
control panel optimizes situational awareness for pilots, greatly enhancing
safety.
Situational awareness
The
Grand Caravan EX’s uncluttered displays include two primary flight displays
(PFD) and a center multifunction display (MFD) unit offering real-time,
flight-critical data aggregated on three configurable, large-format
high-resolution screens. Crew alerts are displayed on the PFD.
IFR flight plans with SVT
Pilots have the ability to load IFR flight plans on the
G1000 to exactly match the intended route. Magenta rectangular pathways provide
a visual window to help pilots follow the intended flight route. Pathways are spaced
no more than 1,000 meters apart and have guidelines in each corner that point
in the direction of the active flight plan leg.
Using Synthetic Vision Technology (SVTTM),
Garmin’s Towers and Obstacles database makes the existence of non-terrain
structural hazards crystal clear, even in low-visibility conditions.
